An indemnity clause in a residential construction contract is a provision where one party agrees to compensate (or "hold harmless") another party for certain damages or losses that may arise during the course of the project.
In simple terms: "If something goes wrong and someone sues us, you’ll cover our losses, legal fees, or damages—at least in part."
