Topic: Wisconsin’s Right to Cure Law & Settlement Agreements

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify when Wisconsin’s Right to Cure Law applies to construction defect claims.
  • Follow notice requirements and statutory timelines under Wis. Stat. § 895.07.
  • Understand the mandatory notice requirement under Wis. Stat. § 101.148(2) at time of contracting.
  • Distinguish between contract cancellation agreements and defect-specific settlement agreements.
  • Draft or evaluate release, confidentiality, and liability terms to reduce exposure.
